Description Part 15 in the series.

This is a place called The 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road. Part of the fantastic Victorian coastline in Australia. This is a pretty hard formation to photograph under the conditions. The sun is directly behind the things and it's overcast (which is probably good considering). Windy and wet as well. I think this may have been the best shot I could've pulled.

Great shot, not to blow my own horn or anything but check out my gallery if you want to see some more shots of this area.

very nice compostion. looks like though that the apostles could use a little detail. i think what happened was u took a centre-weighted metering of the sky and that caused the apostles to be underexposed.

next time, put ur palm in front of the lens and take an exposure reading from that and thn take a shot. that way, u will get closer to the 18% grey that all cameras see in.

otherwise, pretty good stuff.

Stunning place isn't it. I was standing in this spot 10 years ago this November. Somewhere I have a picture of it but it was a much more ordinary day than this. Great shot, this is. It really conveys the power of the weather coming in and pounding the coastline.

Oh wow. Never will I see a sky like that here in the state. Especially not here in Philly. :/
