Yes, I know this is sadistic. Where I grew up we didn't have big slugs crawling around and hence I never got to douse one with salt as a kid. The curiosity got the better of me and had to document it one September afternoon.Please don't call PETA.

I don't know why but salting slugs is always fun. Especially when you're trying to protect your strawberries.

Everybody's gotta do it at least once in their lives. I used salt to get leeches off a few times in Canada. We would stand in the water a minute or two, then get out and have like 10 leeches on our legs. Then we would salt them off and do it again. I gotta say, that was rather intertaining when your about 10ish. Not to sure how old i was then.
