Chapter 1 Check Mate.

(Flashback five hundred years previous to operation impending doom 2)

He sat quietly aboard his ship, he was flying a new class of recon craft, the Voot class ship was the fastest ship the Irken fleet had ever constructed, it was also the most technologically advanced craft in the galaxy. He had needed it to escape the Vhurrs that were chasing him, he had killed his commanding officer, something that would cost him his own life. After he revealed the truth about the brains that controlled the whole empire he was branded a heretic and a liar, only his close friend Miyuki had believed him she had opened the bay doors of the station they were on and helped him escape, he felt bad since she had been told recently she was second up for tallest, now unless somehow the fact the doors had been opened from the inside was ignored she would be killed.

As he sped towards the research station above Vort he dropped out of hyper speed. He knew the only way he would be recognized and heard was if he got a public trial, and the only way that would get that is if he did something unheard of. He was going to kill a tallest. Lucky for him Tallest Sizek was inspecting the recently completed Vort Research Station 9. It was to be the newest military research station, it would be the new home to the best weapons makers in the universe. As he docked at the station he was immediately captured and taken before the tallest. He was dragged into a room with several guards, the advisors to the tallest and Tallest Sizek himself sitting on a floating chair. Tallest Sizek spoke. “So the traitor came here so he could see his tallest before he is executed?” The tallest looked down at the small Irken on his knees. “Speak your name Traitor.” The small Irken looked up to the tall creature. “My name is Ace, I am no traitor, you are the only traitor here, you know that the giant brains are our true rulers, yet you do nothing.” A expression of surprise crossed the tallests face, then he began to laugh.

“That’s crazy, you speak lies, and now you will die.” He got up and went behind Ace reaching down and tearing off his Pak, Ace cringed and began laughing as his life clock turned on. As the tallest walked back towards his chair Ace pulled a laser and shot the guards that had been holding him and jumped on Sizek’s back the tallest screeched and tossed Ace’s Pak backwards as Ace put the mini laser to the tallest’s Pak. “No one move or Tallest Sizek dies.” His words were cold and serious, he directed the guards and the tallest’s advisors two one side of the room. Suddenly he felt a jolt as the tallest slammed back against his chair knocking Ace off and running out of the room as ace and the guards began to fire at each other and Ace managed to killed three of the guards, then other ones and the tallest’s advisors ran, Ace got up and ran after the tallest, his life clock has gone to three minutes as he chased the tallest into the dock killing several robots that tried to covered the tallest’s escape. As the tallest got into his ship Ace slipped in and the doors closed. The ship pulled away from the station. Ace’s life clock was down to two minutes, he was now having trouble walking and his eyes had lost there green tint and looked more gray, he walked onto the bridge of the ship, only the tallest had gotten aboard since the research station only had scientists on it, the tallest had brought only a handful of guards and they had all failed him. Ace aimed the laser at the tallest as he entered the cockpit when the tallest turned around he and Ace stared at each other for a moment, Ace’s life clock had degraded to thirty seconds, he began laughing and choked up some blood, he had been shot several times and was bleeding badly now. As his clock hit ten seconds, he opened his mouth and muttered his last word as he shot the tallest. “Checkmate”

A week later on Irk a Pak sat in a clear vaporization chamber, the new tallest Almighty Tallest Miyuki looked down at the Pak, she had been deliberating what would happen to it, she didn‘t want her friend to disappear completely, but now that she was tallest she didn’t want to louse her power. So she had decided, and when she spoke every Irken in the empire sat on the edge on there seat. “After a long deliberation I have decided that this Pak is to be publicly destroyed” The truth about the brains would never be discovered, or so Miyuki thought as she hit a small blue button. A blinding purple light filled the container and the Pak was vaporized all that was left was some small pieces of the Pak that had escaped the vaporization. All over the universe Irken were cheering, all except one, he was laughing, the Pak that was vaporized was not Ace’s but a spare Pak from the weapons development area where a new genetically enhanced Irken body had been developed. Ace’s Pak and entered and crawled onto the body, and quickly copied itself onto a blank Pak. He had posed as a scientist and given “Ace’s Pak” to Miyuki himself. He then escaped and with his new body he would hide until a time that the Irken empire tried to expand, then he could secretly return, and reveal the truth.
