Awesome photo! Its a simple but very powerful and effective photograph. The mountains in the bottom left corner are nice but they distract the viewer from the main subject, the tree. I would recommend cropping them out and your photo would be nearly flawless.

Mountains are left in to the corner intentionally, as without them photo would be a quite clichΓ©. This way I was able to add personal touch in it.

I see what you are saying. A lone tree on a hillside is sort of clichΓ©. It would be nice if the mountains were a bit more prominent then and stuck up further above that hill. As is they just seem too minor of an element to add much to the photo and end up being distracting. Don't get me wrong though, I really do love this photograph.

add just enough to have enough depth.

I never ever saw a single tree ontop of a hill like this in real life, so I tend to think it is not possible... lol

I love the lonely feel from this. The subdued colors are great and I love the silhouette of the tree. Awesome framing too. I kind of don't like those mountains on the left, but they don't really detract from the image that much. Nice shot!
