Patience is a wonderful thing to posses and most of the time it works out better than charging in and wasting the moment.

In her first year, this shot was deemed impossible by all who would brave the attempt, an empty platform and a Peppercorn practically to myself.
Two hours earlier it was the usual scene, hundreds of people all fighting to ride the pretty green train, but on the opposite platform sitting almost unattended was No. 5690 "Leander", to me it was no contest, crush into a MK1 with the wannabes or have the front window and the whole Jubilee to myself.
After a full line trip with Leander, We return to Bury and Tornado is just coming in with her fully loaded charter, she arrives, empty's completely and for the second time today leaves me the who train to myself, Some days I just love the East Lancashire Railway.
