I always thought about a million reasons for why the ET's finger glow...Well, I think I found out one of them when I was playing Operation one of these days
This is my humble hommage to one of my favorite movies of all time.
20% pencils on paper, 70% Painter and 10% Photoshop

I was 5 when I saw the movie and I was scared shitless by ET :C I was almost too scared to go to toilet because I thought he's gonna come from there xC
But anyways. I really like this picture! : D There's so many details! And I like how one of his irises is so much bigger than the other B)
I wonder how the ETs play Operation with living friend >U>

The 2-sized irises are part of my character style, I really like to play w/those kind of things

Well... first of all... The whole painting looks incredible good and makes you get that nostalgic feeling from when you were a kid and saw the movie for the first time.
As for the glowing finger. You have no intention to tell us what your ideas goes by and share with the rest if us that might still have no clue?

As for the glowing finger, it was my other intention: the humor. Do you know the table game Operation, where you must pick things out of the patient without touching his borders?

Yes, you certainly bring out the little child in you with this drawing/painting. I wasn't old enough at all when I saw this movie the first time. Consider it was already out for the world to watch when I was born.
But I think you did a great job illustrating more than one 'ET' and you do get to wonder what's really going on on your drawing there with the doctor-alike figures
Haha, what a funny theory. So instead of the horrible sound we have the glowing finger? 
You'll write something more about it and I shall gladly read it
