PERSONALITY

[ shut-off ] [ professional ] [ stubborn ] [ attentive ] [ snappy ]

Overall Disposition:
At first glance, Moros may appear as grumpy and shut-off. He's not easy to get through to, and far from someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. He keeps his guard up high, rarely ever letting anyone take his walls down – he's a stern and highly professional sentinel who takes his work seriously. His thick skull causes him to be insanely stubborn from time to time, making him a big of a tough one to work with. However, he isn't someone who lets things pass him by without notice. In fact, Moros is very attentive. He takes note of things others might not, and does so with surprising care. He's grown to appreciate the little things: It's why you'll often spot him on his own with his nose towards the sky, enjoying the chilly afternoon breeze... Perhaps after living a life of having to constantly fight for his survival, he's grown to see past the cruelty of the world.

This attentive side of his however often makes him come off as someone who has his nose in everyone's business. He tends to remember small bits that most would forget about in the span of a couple of minutes, but it's the tiny details that interest him most, especially when it comes to his fellow wardens. Sure he might be a bit nosy, but he means well. And who knows, if you're lucky, he might even get you something that reminds him of you!

To round things up, Moros might not be the most loving feline in the world, but he shows that he cares in different, maybe unconventional ways that are significant to his person. It's not unlike him to snap at others when they test his limits, but he mellows down just as quickly as he meets the end of his patience. It can take any direction with him, at any time – you just need to know how he functions in order to get him to appreciate you.

STORY

Backstory:

Before he was Moros, he was simply Moreno: A young cub brought to the city after his mother gave him and his littermates up, leading to him spending the first few months of his life behind bars, hidden away by the hunters. It was during the war of Massilia when a couple of empire cats broke in, releasing him in the process. Moreno had no choice but to follow them if he wanted to survive, leading him right into the paws of Stone Empire a couple of days later.

The young feline was taken in as an apprentice, where he would train alongside his mentor up until he was deemed ready to be promoted. Unfortunately, this life of his would get turned on it's head faster than he'd thought, as Moreno was captured by a group of hunters during one of his patrols. He was dragged back to Massilia with an injury that wound up infecting his eye, causing the poor feline to go blind. He'd spend the next couple of months stalking up and down his cage, waiting for the sun to shine on his pelt, and feel the soft grass underneath his paws again. But the days went by slowly, and eventually, he began to lose the hope of his empire coming to save him.

Eventually he was shipped off to Rome with the intention of becoming a pet. However, his temper was much too fierce for him to be a feline living enclosed in a small home, leading to him being put in the coliseum, where he would prove himself as a capable fighter. So capable, that some trainers saw potential in him becoming a member of the wardens. After some deliberation, they decided to return him to Massilia. As he was put under the care of a rich man in the city who gave him the new name Moros, the feline decided to have a fresh new start to his life.

While undergoing his training, he also learnt to live in the city that once brought him pain, and began to love it. His strength and sturdiness made him the perfect candidate for a sentinel, and over the years, Moros proved himself as a respectable feline of the city. No longer loyal to the empires, he's grown to protect Massilia and has shown his loyalty to the wardens in many ways.

Although he keeps his past hidden from most, there are a few singular wardens that might recognize the once scrawny young feline that was dragged to the city many years ago...
