Isn't this interesting. One of the very first paintings I had ever tried was almost identical to this in pose. However, I think that yours is so much better, particularly with the integrated background.

This looks traumatic yet beautiful, tragic in a way also maybe even dark. Very simple imagery, so excellently cattied out. That feotal position is classic withdrawing, defensive pose. Reminds me a little of the pose in this pic[link]

Your anatomy is spot on without being overworked, your choice of color isolation is good. The piece conveys a very specific set of emotions and manges to be instantly expressive. Managed to burn it's self right into my mind on first glance. Great piece.
