Yeah, I so went there. A plushie of Inspector Javert from the book/musical Les Miserables.Man, the things we do when we're bored.
I handstitched the entire thing, and made my pattern from scratch after examining how my Feliciano Vargas (N. Italy) plushie was sewn together.
Materials:
Spandex for his shoes.
Some form of tough canvas-y stuff for his clothes.
Cheap cotton crap for his skin
I don't know what his hair is made from......
Next Style Cotton Fabric transfers for his face
Poly-fil polyester fibers for his insides.
Time: 3 weeks. But considering I hand-did the whole thing, and I didn't know what I was doing.... Not as bad as it could have been.
I would personally like to thank the following people without whose contribution to the musical world this would not have been possible (basically, thanks to everyone whose music I listened to while sewing him): Diana Ross, The Temptations, The Doors, The Beatles, Cheap Trick, Boston, The Grass Roots, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Beethoven, Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Moody Blues, Steppen Wolf, and basically every other artist from the 60's and 70's.
Yeah, if our dear Inspector were to see this, he'd probably hate me XD But I can't help it. I'm obsessed with him. (and now I can snuggle him all I want and he can't protest) Any other Javert fans out there, please post your artwork! I'll love you forever!
Right, now I'm off to finish my second plushie, Erik from The Phantom of the Opera, for a friend of mine.

You know, if I had any friends who were obsessed with him I could make them one. I have enough fabric to make like, five more. But NOOO my friends think that Les Mis is lame.... *sigh*
