The Keyblade rewarded to the heroes after defeating Xenoblade 2 Rex, Pyra, and his party in Floor 20 of the Battle Tower. In the story, it is given to Kirito to use. The Keyblade design is heavily inspired by both the Monado of Xenoblade 1 and Pyra’s Aegis Blade in Xenoblade 2, drawing inspiration from both blades. The teeth of the Keyblade only ignite in ether flames when used in combat. The medallion of the Keyblade is the ‘X’ of the word ‘Xenoblade’, designed more like the one in the title ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X’.
The abilities of the Keyblade are heavily inspired by the Monado, activating abilities when in a pinch much like Shulk able to see the future and prevent the worse from happening, and being the only blade to destroy Mechonis, hence the Cyberbane ability to do more damage to Cyber Heartless. Air Combo Plus is influenced by Shulk’s Air Slash move.

The base Shotlock is ‘Monado Buster’, where the Keyblade’s teeth die down, and summons a long ether blade from the stem, before being swung numerous times on the set targets. Inspired by Shulk’s move of the same name in Xenoblade Chronicles.

The max Shotlock (22) is ‘Sacred Arrow’, where the Keyblade transforms into Mythra’s Aegis Blade with a red hue, leaping back as it is raised high, summoning large arrows of light from the sky that rain down on the set targets. Inspired by Rex & Mythra’s move of the same name in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
