So, consulting-cannibal on tumblr stated that she felt The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel was the theme for season 11 of SPN. And I couldn't help but agree. Namely because of the first lines.

"Hello darkness my old friend. I've come to talk with you again."

So I immediately thought of Lucifer since he was the original lock for the darkness. And just thought of him greeting the darkness like some kind of old friend.
