I used to sell art on eBay—original drawings of well-known characters in comics. For a while I was doing really well with it. Then I got wind that certain owners of certain properties were coming after artists and demanding that art for sale with those characters be taken down. Refusing to be done out of the money that I was making, I began to create versions of those famous characters that were recognizable, but not copyrighted or trademarked by those owners. That’s where “Night-Spider” came from. You know who he is, but of course I can’t call him that or have him look like that. I can create a commissioned drawing of the actual character for you; just drop me a line.
