"Engine-level return on long range auspex, Princeps." The measured voice of Trixie's Moderati Primaris filtered through the Princeps' amniotic fluid, drawing her back from her communion with Magi Tenebris and into the cramped reality of the titan's cockpit.
A grin split Trixie's muzzle as she confirmed her moderati's words, and the cockpit thrummed with power as Magi Tenebris' reactors surged in sympathy with her racing heart. "Finally, a foe worthy of our power!"
"Message from Gear Cohort!" Snips shrilled, hooves moving quickly across his control consoles. "Should we go to flank speed, Princeps? The Alpha reports 40% casualties and rising. They may collapse if we're late."
Trixie shook her head and allowed hee grin to widen. "No. A wizard is never late. She arrives exactly when she means to. Continue at current pace and prepare for Engine engagement!"

I remember when I did this picture, about five hundred years ago, so somewhere in April or May. Man, this year really is skewing time in weird ways, playing with it like an accordion. But from what I've heard it seems this year might make us all live longer, then again it was on the same page that was selling some sort of remedy against rheumatism involving sunflower seeds. So it must've been bogus, maybe.

Drawing Trixie in that vat of amniotic fluid is probably one of the most fun things I've ever get to draw for any drawing ever. It was great to draw all the tubes, the bubbles, the shading with the many shades of red and pink. The rest of the drawing I think came out ok, but the contrast is too harsh and the colors could've come out a bit less chrome-y. Then again, it's metal on metal so what is if not fitting for the environment anyway?
