Description
Hello all long time no see...When I got my little bearded dragon Snoopy I never thought he would ever take as much work as he does. Within a few weeks of receiving Snoopy he came down with parasites at one point nearly killing him; ever since I've been spending much of my time getting him back to health. Three and a half months ago when I took him in to the vet as a 10 week old he weighed a mere 10 grams, as of yesterday (7/21/05) he weighed 130 grams.
Sadly all this time I haven't gone out to take one pic; I've been spending much of my computer time of at [link] a great forum for anyone with a bearded dragon.
I want to thank all those that have stuck around and continued to watch, fav, comment, and look at my work even though I haven't been around to do the same. I hope to be back with new pic soon!

Can I steal it? XD
I always loved those kind, I'm really thrilled about lizards and leguana's and all those kinds.
But really, that is a REALLY great shot. I love the detail. ^^

Oh gosh-I'm sorry he got so sick...I hope my beardies, Spykke and Spyrro never come down with anything that serious. The only ailment either one has ever had was a slight case of mouth-rot, easily cured by vasaline and a wet washcloth/TLC.
I really like this photograph! It capyures every one of the details that makes a beardy what they are-and this photo really says it all. I commend your excellent work! And I am also glad that Snoopy is back up and running like normal. Mine are just bored to death because I haven't had the time to take them out in public like usual....
Anyways, I might consider getting a print of this. Your beardie is quite similar to my male, Spyrro. ^^

Hey man, it's all good to set aside doing photos when it comes to saving a handsome dragon like this one. I'm glad you devoted to helping him pull through. And damn this fella is handsome.. a great shot for him too. Had he the preference i'm sure he'd ask for a copy of it framed and put in his cage.
"I look dapper here!"
okok anyhow, a toast to a fine image of a fine animal best fortune to you both!

Amazing animal and great photo!
My only criticism would be that the depth of field on this is a little too narrow. Some of him isn't in focus. You could make the argument, however, that it adds to the photo. It's all a matter of taste.

Great shot!! He's going to drive his dad nuts though, huh? My bird is kind of like that, 24/7 attention needed. lol, How'd you get the background to just be soild blue? did you edit it, or did you just have a plain blue background?

my respect! Its great that you spend so much time on your pet, to get him healthy and happy. Not many people do so, although it should be self-evident to do everything for an animal.
It is a very beautiful animal.

I love his little mouth! It's like he's smiling or smirking...or just so damn proud of himself. It's really a great feat that I can even admit that I like him, it's amazing I even looked at the photo, I am phobic of reptiles. Something about his expression just made me unable to resist. Great capture and I admire you for nursing him back to health.

He's lovely!
Lizards are a lot of work, I bought a Chameleon about a year ago and while he's the best pet in the world, he's a lot of work. They're so fragile. But I love him. Bearded Dragons are so friendly, though! They're fucking adorable, great capture!

The minute I saw this in the corner of my eye I said "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW" out loud. This was a very pleasant surprise. I've had a bearded dragon since I was 6 years old. He's 10 years old now, older than most bearded dragons live. He's been the best pet I've ever had. One time I thought I was going to lose him, as he was suffering from a sudden calcium deficiency, but we got through that one together and now he's healthy as can be.
Hope you and Snoopy have several happy years ahead of you! Certainly a beautiful bearded dragon, and a beautiful photo to boot.

This photo makes him look so sterial. I love the detail and the contrasting background colour. I wish I could take something so beautiful with the help of our own resedent water dragon. He's very skiddish, and yet manages to walk into our house to eat the cat's food. My sister found him when he was less than the length of a palm, and now he's over two feet long. Him and the cat have their standoff's on a day to day basis. It's always entertaining to watch them stratagize with eachother. On hot days he takes a swim in the pool and warms up on our welcome mat.

Great job bringing your beardie back to health, it really takes a dedicated owner to gain that much wieght back after being struck by parasites like that. I have a berdie too, his name is Gizard, and I really haven't taken too many pictures lately but I do have a few on my page when he was a little guy which was like a year ago. He is much bigger now. Anywho, love the angle you took on the shot it really catches the smile on your berdie.
