This was a tough casting choice, but what the hell, I think this works. Ted Grant...Wildcat is arguably the most underrated superhero in the DC Universe. This is the guy who trained a bulk of DC's street level heroes in boxing and crime fighting, and in some continuities up and coming teams. This is guy knows how to break bones and take hits. So we need an actor with this level of range. Enter Corey Burton. Burton started his voice acting career in '76, and has exploded in popularity in the 80s, in "The Transformers", voicing Shockwave, Sunstreaker, and Brawn, and continued his work in the franchise in '07 with "Transformers Animated" in his character defining role as Ratchet. His take on Ratchet was that of a grumpy old bot who suffered tremendously and Brawn was depicted as an action type hero who took control with his bare fists. These are the characteristics of Ted Grant in the DC Unlimited. As someone who has fought in World War II, and is one of the DC's best Golden Age Heroes, he fights with such vigor and continues to train, even when society shunned him and his allies. He's the grumpy grandfather who knows best and will berate ya if you do things half assed or not give a 100 percent. Yet underneath his rough exterior, he's got a good heart, and more than willing to listen. Burton can deliver this to Wildcat as he provides wisdom from a bygone era where all you needed was a great hook
