Done for Magic:The Gathering, Hour of Devastation. A more perfect character to encapsulate the story of the set, and all its epic destruction and mayhem, I could not have asked for. Probably my very favorite image I've yet produced for Magic, and one of my all time favorite characters from the games history. I spent a bit longer producing the image as well, as the art order was fairly open to interpretation, and allowed a lot of creativity in what shape the creature took, as long as it appeared as a giant god-like elemental of death and destruction. Had a great time with the little details.Related content

It looks so much different than the 'original' Lord of Extinction, but so much cooler! I fell in love immediately! (Well, 'love' might be the wrong term... 😉)

Were his floating individual boulder-like hands the reason he's named the "Lord of Extinction"?
