Superb. What first caught my eyes was the texture. The misty quality of the bottom half gives the impression of being truly in the witching hour. Not to mention the attention to detail. The way the birds come from the wound--it seems almost natural that they should. The details on the dress of the woman are equally good.
I am certain that the publishers would be equally impressed.

your work always has a nice soft feeling to it and this is no exception, again your use of color practically singlehandedly brings this piece to the spotlight, though its basically monotone its beautifully rendered. The Crows also generate a good deal of interest in that portion of the image so much so that i wonder how the image would profit if some interest was generated on the oposite end of the image, i love the image, keep em' comin, awsome work.

Beautifully dark. I love the idea of the black birds (crows perhaps - symbollically evil?) escaping from this "witch". The environment and colours used are extremelly complimentary and effective.
