Introduction:After long time planning modeling and rendering, I have finished a new scene - Future F1 Pit stop. In this scene there are 5 professional Pit Crew members and a futuristic race car.
Firstly, let me make a short description about my Pit Crew members. They can be generally divided into 2 groups which are tire changer and gas man.
Those man are not actually real people, it is robot which have per-installed program, electronic power, titanium alloy armor and many High-Tech equipments. It will perform 10 times faster than those professionals in F1 race event and will not feel tired.
Then it is the introduction of my futuristic race car which is totally designed by me. It has 3 movable jet engines which can be turned in 360 degrees. For the intention of getting more aerodynamics the car was designed with such appearance which is a combination of jet fighter F1 race car and helicopter. 3 movable jet engines can easily balance itself and can generate immense power. Each one has Maximum Output of 25000hp and 21000rpm. Its top speed is 2305km/h, with 2.3sec in 0 to 300 km/h acceleration and the maximum lateral acceleration reaching up to 15.45G, pushing the vehicle to the very limits of what a normal human body can withstand.
The dream of creating the fastest racing car ever has been realized in 3d max and I guess it will be accomplished in real world in the future.
Why Robot? This race car is energy-hungry and its engine will be damaged after several laps (just like F1 race car's tires which need to be changed). Since the temperature of jet engine is very high (normally 1800°C, so human cannot withstand and complete the whole process of pit stop.
Modeling Process:
I had such idea 2 weeks ago and then soon started my design. First I drew a sketch on paper, made a low poly in 3d max, detached each piece of model to make armor, used turbosmooth to generate final one. The whole modeling and texturing time cost me 5 days. Final model has 21395702 polys, which is very highly detailed and accompanied with HD textures. I rarely used a texture map, because I believed everything made of model was even more real than texture map. However it really pushed my computer to the limit. Rendering time for High resolution image (3000X2250 pixel) were about 4 hours. All the pictures you’ve seen are the original one made by 3d max software. I don't like to compose it in Photoshop or make some after effects. I believe everything made in 3d max or maya shows your real skill.
