On this bright February afternoon, spring was in the air. And if you ask me, in the veins of this swan, too.Taken near Loenen aan de Vecht/The Netherlands.

The photo is beautiful, Jurgen, and precisely because it is beautiful, because it is green and pastoral and you can almost hear the birds singing, in its quiet and relaxing way, it shouts:

Actually spring quite often is in the air here, but then there are also long stretches of cold weather. This year however the latter was not there - and that WAS exceptional ...

Geweldig moment om de foto te nemen, misschien zonde dat de nek slecht zichtaar is. Maar 't is een split-second decision zoals de Amerikanen het noemen. Goede foto, mooie lijnen ook. Erg fjine foto.

Het was minder een beslissing dan gewoon het resultaat van het nemen van de foto op juist dat moment dat maar heel kort duurde. Dus nemen maar. Het resultaat had ik graag beter gehad en ik heb zelfs geaarzeld of ik de foto wel goed genoeg vind om hem in te zenden, maar dan was het toch de sfeer als geheel die mij positief liet besluiten.

Het geheel is ook zeker 'n goede foto. Maar zoals ik zei, 't is moeilijk om 'm perfect te maken. In mijn visie had dat geweest wanneer de zwaan zou mee werken en ook zijn nek omhoog had gestoken.
