I really enjoyed working on this one~ The original drawing, as I said before, was done by my friend PetanoPrime This took quite a bit longer then expected but I think it turned out really well! What do you guys think? I was originally working on a drawing of Octavia by Petano, but this one really got me inspired!My thanks goes to Royal-Exo for the background vector, I think it's very fitting.
Also thanks to mattyhex for the more appropriate font!

As Scootaloo hit the ground with a thud she fluttered open her eyes. "Scootaloo!" Sweetie called out, her voice filled with concern. Scootaloo lightly placed her hoof on her necklace. "When we fall..." She faltered through the pain. "Try again!" Sweetie and Apple Bloom stared at their resiliant friend in shock. The enemy once again blasted Scootaloo with a strong power, sending her backwards again. "Scoots, stay down, it's ok!" Apple Bloom called out. Scootaloo struggled onto her feet. "And again..." She charged, only to be knocked away once again. "You don...don't seem to understand..." Scootaloo studdered. "I will never stay down...th..these are my friends... and as long as their with me..." Scootaloo stood all the way up, her mouth in a determined smile and her wings fanned out. "I will never fall."

It's been years since I wrote this comment on this account and I've decided that I'm going to rewrite it.
As Scootaloo came crashing down to the earth with a thud, her eyes fluttered open. There was a soft dim in her gaze.
"Scootaloo!" Sweetie called out, her voice laced with a deep concern. At the sound of her friend, Scootaloo lightly put a hoof on her necklace, feeling it and letting it's meaning fill her heart.
"When we fall..." She managed to falter through her pain. "We try again!" Sweetie and Applebloom stared at the unending perseverance their friend held with shock. Once again, their foe struck her with a strong power, knocking her back.
"Scoots, stay down, really!" Applebloom pleaded. "It's ok!" But, Scootaloo struggled back onto her hooves.
"And again!" She cried as she charged, only being struck down yet again. "You don't get it, do you?" Scootaloo stuttered. "I will not stay down...th-these are my friends...and as long as I have them," She stood all the way up, her mouth curling in a determined smile, her wings panning out their full length. "I will never fall!"

Once again, years have passed. Let's do this one more time.
The dirt misplaced around a fallen filly as she came crashing to the ground, the impact knocking the air from her lungs and sending her friends into an instant panic. Sweetie felt her eyes open wide as she looked at Scootaloo, reaching out and wanting to gallop towards her, but finding that Applebloom was holding her back to prevent her from getting hurt in the same way.
"Scootaloo-!!" Sweetie keened, a fearful tone laced within her voice and concern swimming in her eyes. At the sound of her voice, Scootaloo felt her heavy body feel a little lighter, and she placed a hoof over her necklace. Loyalty...that feeling coursed through her...and she let it. It reinvented her strength, and she looked up from the ground at the foe.
"When we fall..." She croaked, voice shaking out just loud enough for everyone to hear. "We try again!" Scootaloo got to her hooves, standing off against the hostile enemy. Sweetie and Applebloom were shocked by the determination burning in their friend's eyes.
Once again, the foe struck, sending Scootaloo reeling towards the ground again.
"Scoots, jus' stay down!" Applebloom begged, finding it hard to even watch. "It's okay!" And yet, still, Scootaloo had pushed herself back on her hooves.
"And again!" She shouted, charging towards the foe without hesitation. Scootaloo was struck once more. "You don't get it, do you?" She faltered. "I won't stay down! These are my friends, and as long as I have them," Scootaloo stood to her full height, and her wings fanned out at her side, mouth upturned in a smile. "I will never fall!"

I REALLY dig the intensity of this. It's actually a pretty interesting idea, Scoots basically taking up Dash's spot in the Elements. It's well made, too!

If anything, this gives inspiration. To fail, is to come back with a better solution, an improved tactic, a new understanding. (This must be because I'm unoriginal but in a fic I'm writing now there's a kind-of subplot where the current Elements of Harmony have to choose their successors. I haven't written it the part quite yet but even if she doesn't accept it, Rainbows plan is for Scoots to have it. Its not actually a big part of the story because technically its not about the main six at all, but the antagonists of the series, though the subplots very important to the theme and- I'm rambling. Crud. Sorry)
