- Forced perspective with bokeh: [link]
Materials and Methods
Nikon D80 + 50mm F1.8 + IR remote. Christmas lights hung in the background along with some more back lighting. A lot of trial and error to get the composition right. GIMP for post editing. Decreased blue content to make the background more even. Color balancing and curves for the final colors. The bubble wand is white so it didn't cast such a good silhouette.
Additional Comments
Not sure if I like the colors but I wanted something blue-ish. For some reason this reminds me of those complete-these-words segments in kids shows: BA - OKEH , BA - UBBLES
More fun with bokeh:
(were we always able to put thumbs in the artist's comments?

Nice!! How did you do it..? Was it just the skill of the camera or did you edit it?

The circles are due to out-of-focus Christmas lights being in the background. There's more information about how I achieved this type of photo in the Artist's Comments and on my website: [link]

How do I put thumbs in the Artist's Comments? Just paste the Thumb ID from the desired deviation ex. : thumb157341818 : in the Artist's Comments if that's what you mean.

Oh wow! I love this! Brings back childhood memories of bubble blowing and how magical it all seemed that they could fly, always wishing I could do the same.

I love this idea, it's so creative.
I think deviantart started allowing pictures in the artist comments a few months ago, but I know it hasn't always been a feature. It comes in handy though, doesn't it?
