During the Sisterhood Social, Shinigami sees Gallus staring sadly at CMC and their sister/sister figure and askes Silverstream what's wrong. Silverstream reluctantly says it's something Gallus doesn't like to talk about. So Shini get's Sunset to sneak a look into his memories and finds out he has no family! Gallus explains what he told his friends about never having a place in Griffinstone. When Sunset asks if Grandpa Gruff is like family to him since he's his guardian, but Gallus rebukes it stating that Grandpa Gruff couldn't care less about him, which the overhearing Trixie confirms. Sunset doesn't know how to cheer Gallus up, but Shinigami does, she tells Gallus that she's an orphan too, much his surprise. She shares with him her backstory and says she knows how he feels. And tells him that she can be his sister figure, like Rainbow Dash is with Scootaloo, which Gallus happily agrees too. Then, to further cheer him up, the two enter the Social and win.
