They did not seem interested in you. The machinegunner kept the weapon pointed at the ground, and he was really the only one paying much attention. There were two other riflemen chatting from behind sandbags on the opposite side of the road from the static machinegun.

I look around nervously, then raise my weapon to point at the top of the stomach.

I am frightened and quickly drop it. I fumble for my knife, looking down at it. "Oh, God...." I am shaking, my hand hardly able to get a grip on the handle.

*to your surprise, he speaks* "I can hear you with that stabby thing. If you stab my nucleus you die with me, you know. You'll be stuck in my body and will most likely starve."

I slowly put it away, shuddering. I look to the nucleus, staring at it for a moment. After a little while, nervously reach up to touch it.
