Description This is a new drawing, re-creating my original from page 7 of AD&D module S2: White Plume Mountain (TSR Hobbies, 1980).

At the end of each of these projects, I always wind up with a few prints left over due to printer overruns. I also still have some of the new originals. If you missed any, from this or any of my previous projects, check here for availability and ordering instructions: www.prismnet.com/unigames/orig…

IIRC there wasn't even a vampire in S2 but seeing this pic drove the players mad, they were utterly vampire-paranoid for the whole adventure LOL

I agree with all of the comments about the Light spell and the lighting! It was illustrations like this that made me want to play D&D so badly when I first saw the books as a kid. This project is yielding some really nice results. It's interesting to see how your style has developed over the years.

Gotta love clean black/white compositions, especially when it's easy to see what's going on (most b/w's are almost illegible!)

Only things I'd recommend is to be a bit careful about how tall your faces tend to be in your drawings, and also your method of shading can at first glance look like awkward hair (like the guy on the rights shoulder).

I'm not attacking your drawings, just giving constructive feedback. You can try looking at McBess's work in regards to softer shading in black and white if that helps:

Keep up the great work!

I love the light spell in the Cleric's hands.
