  The Jins and Jackies sat down on a couch in the living room. The Jackies had covered up on top, but hadn’t bothered with anything on bottom besides some stockings. “Alright, good,” said Jin Two. “Now let’s see if we can discuss this calmly.” “I doubt it,” groaned Jackie Two. Her twin agreed. “Well, you're still in agreement,” said Jin Two. “It might take a while for you two to mentally diverge. Right now, you're basically the same person.” “In more ways than one,” Jin One added.

  “So how did this work again?” asked Jackie One. “Just ‘magic’?” “Yeah, best we can tell,” said Jin One. “We have an idea of the rules and the effects but not how it works.” “So what are the rules?” asked Jackie Two. “Wearing the chemise turns the wearer into a two-headed woman,” said Jin One. “And there's a degree of shapeshifting that goes along with it,” added Jin Two. “Mostly just the space between the necks. But that only works while you're wearing it. And then there’s the banana thing.”

  “Why bananas?” asked the Jackies in stereo. They glanced at each other, a bit disoriented, before looking back at the Jins. “We never really liked bananas in the first place,” said Jin One. “That's probably why.” “I guess you probably don’t want to tell how you got the thing,” said Jackie Two. “Nope,” said Jin One.

  “So if you two can fuse back together so easily, why don't you do it?” asked Jackie One. “We don't want to go back to the way things were before,” said Jin Two, a bit defensively. “We were a lonely and insecure person before we were transformed.” “Plus it's sexy,” Jin One interjected. “What do you mean?” asked both Jackies. Jin Two sighed. “I suppose a lot of it is in the obvious intimacy. The idea of sharing your everything with someone who really gets you.” “And who's sexy,” said Jin One, roughly nuzzling her twin’s cheek. Jin Two blushed and pulled away. “Jin, that isn't helping!” she snapped.

  “Guess it really did help you with your insecurity,” said Jackie Two. “Yeah, maybe it can help you with yours!” said Jin One. “Excuse me?!” shouted both Jackies. Jin One sat wide-eyed and silent and Jin Two groaned in exasperation as the Jackies shouted at Jin One about how they weren’t insecure at all, they were very happy with themselves before being transformed, there was no way giving Jackie One a second head was going to help her, Jackie Two was NOT a “second head”, and so on. Eventually the Jackies were just shouting at each other again.

  “Girls, can we not do this?” interrupted Jin Two. “Fighting with each other is just going to make it worse for you!” “Yeah, there’s gotta be something positive you can get out of this!” said Jin One. “WHAT’S ‘POSITIVE’ ABOUT BEING A TWO-HEADED FREAK?!” the Jackies shouted. “Hey, I resent that!” said Jin One. “You shouldn’t, we are kind of a freak,” said Jin Two. “Hm. Yeah, I guess you’re right,” said Jin One.

  Everyone fell silent for a while as the Jackies caught their breath and the Jins sat thinking. Jin One broke the silence. “Hey, you said you’re comfortable with yourselves. So why aren’t you comfortable with each other? You ARE each other.” “It’s the intimacy,” said Jackie One. “I don’t like sharing my everything with another person.” “Nor do I like being one of two heads crammed onto one body,” said Jackie Two. “Every time she turns her head, her nose brushes up against my ear or something.” “I can feel the vibrations from her talking, and her breathing, and…” “…and her hair keeps getting in my face…”

  “Oh come on, it’s not that bad,” said Jin One. “It’s like having a constant cuddle buddy!” “SHUT UP, JIN!” shouted Jin Two. “Quit yelling in my ear!” Jin One complained. “Where else am I supposed to yell?” said Jin Two.

  “Look, maybe this is a chance for you to get better acquainted with yourselves,” suggested Jin Two. “To help you get along with you. Personality-wise, I mean. You’ll see what you’re like from someone else’s perspective. It’ll be like sharing a room or something, but a bit more intimate. It could be therapeutic. And if you really can’t stand a few hours with each other, you can eat a banana, stick yourselves, and go back to normal.” That seemed to get the Jackies to relax a bit. They looked each other in the eyes for a while, then back to the Jins again. “I think we need some time by ourselves to go over some things,” said Jackie One. “So if you two don’t mind…”

  The Jins got to their feet. “Yeah, that’s cool. Just take it easy and get to know each other. If you need us, we’ll be in the living room,” said Jin One. They turned to leave. “Wait,” Jackie One said. “I don’t get it, what do you two get out of me having two heads?” Jackie Two nodded in agreement and looked up with the same questioning stare.
“You’re sexy.”
