I'm currently at... 3,424 deviations, and looking at 19.

Fastest way I have found is open up some, mark them... look, do the comments and things, appreciate, then you mark them as viewed after you close all of the ones on the list.

Start over again, and do this about three times in a day at least. That helps to keep me somewhat caught up, and sometimes puts me ahead.

I'm not going to just delete everything because... well, I don't want to miss anything good on accident. Granted, I would have missed this deviation had I just given up like you suggest. o.o
