Parent teacher conferences:"But why must I go, your the mother why can't you?" Reaver complained as Midna tied his bow, and straightened him up. "Because its parents night at Raven`s school, were the parents we need to go and see how our daughter is doing." Reaver snorted and said "How do you know she'll be telling us the truth? If you don't remember dear, most of the people in Albion hate my guts and are scared to death of me. Good thing too, most of Albion is full of worthless..." "Reaver." Midna said sternly, she knew how bitter Reaver got when he didn't want to do something or another. Nobody could tell Reaver what to do. Well accept for Midna, he grunted he didn't understand why Raven wanted to go to school in Bowerstone Industries. While she could get a better education here. But then Midna explained. "Raven wants to go out and make friends, she can't see the others very often. And it would be good for her to get out of this manor every day to go play with other albion children. I know the culture here is different from the Twilight Realm. But I wanted that too, just to be normal and have normal friends growing up. I didn't get that choice, I was the princess. But Raven does, I want my baby to know what its like to be normal before she has to go off saving the world."
Reaver sighed, but then heard little footsteps come down the stairs. They turned to see Raven. The 6 year old lifted up her dress and watched carefully as she stepped down the stairs. She got down to final step, and walked towards her parents. "Are you ready?" Midna asked Raven. She nodded excitedly. "Yep, I wanna show you and daddy all my drawings that are at school. And all of us have to sing a song we wrote ourselves." Reaver rubbed her head ans said. "I'm sure their all very good my little bird. " Raven then walked outside and to the carriage, and jumped in as her parents stepped in. Raven chatted the whole way there, she seemed more excited about the song then anything.
When they finally arrived, noble carriages were parked everywhere. Ever since people had found out Reaver had sent Raven to a public school. Most of the nobles began sending their children. Reaver leaned down, stepping his tall figure out of the carriage. He held out his hand, Midna gently took it and stepped out. Then she stood next to Reaver, as he held out his hand again. This time little Raven took his hand. Which was tiny compared to his, she wasn't tall enough to reach the ground. So as she stepped down Reaver lifted her to the ground. She smiled and looked up at him. How cute, Reaver thought, Midna was his beauty, but Raven was his cutie. She had bright green eyes and a wide smile. With perfectly size pink lips, and a little figure. "Thank you daddy." She said as he let go, he bowed his head and said. "Your very welcome little princess." Raven then saw one of her friends. "Mommy can I go play?" She asked Midna, "of course, but stay where mommy can see you." She said as Raven ran off in her little blue dress. Reaver smiled, it made him glad yet irritated him at the same time. She was playing with poor people's children, the nobles must have sent their children here to get close to Raven. So is to get to Reaver and his fortune plus his power.
But Raven was smart and wasn't biting. "Something pleasing dear?" Midna asked, "Yes, our child is undoubtedly smart." Midna giggled and said. "When did you figure this out?" She asked, he shrugged and watched his princess. "Just now, but now my queen, shall we continue and get through this horrible night." He held out his arm for her to take, she smiled and said. "Lets." She took his arm and they walked inside the building.
They were soon greeted by Raven`s teacher. She gulped as she looked at the too, she feared Reaver to her bones. And Midna was nothing but a strange beauty to her and too unknown for her liking.
"Lord and Lady, please come have a seat." She said nervously, she lead then to an office where there was a desk and two adult sized chairs. Midna and Reaver sat down. The teacher sat down and took out a napkin and started to dry her sweaty hands. She cleared her throat and said. "Well, I'm pleased to meet with you two finally. Raven talks so much about you. I'm Mrs. Reggie." Mrs. Reggie looked at Reaver nervously through the corner of her eye, and saw his pistol at his side. Which racked Mrs. Reggie`s nerves even more. "Were very pleased to meet you as well, out daughter has told us so much about you as well." Midna said Mrs. Reggie looked back at Midna, relief, Raven had put in a good word for her. And Reaver`s spouse sounded friendly.
"Well, um... Well I can tell you that Raven is doing excellent! She is top of the class, her skills are beyond any child's at her age. She's very bright." Midna`s face lite up, oh Avo help me, she prayed she was not ready to tell them about the things she was concerned about. "B-but, I am concerned about one thing." Reaver straightened in the chair and Midna sat at the edge. Mrs. Reggie gulped and her shaky hands pulled out one of Raven`s paintings. She placed it for Midna and Reaver to see. Midna picked it up and looked at it. "You see she's been drawing strange markings, some strange spells." The teacher explained, Midna`s face changed from one of confusion to on of understanding.
"Oh no Mrs. Reggie, these are not spells, this is simply Twili writing the language of my people. I've been teaching her every since she was little little. " she handed back the picture and Mrs. Reggie sighed, she thought the daughter of the Queen of Twilight was setting dark curses off in the school. "Well, the only other thing that I wanted to speak with you too is the others at the school. You see Raven doesn't seem to like most of the noble children. Mainly the boys have been drawing pictures of flowers or doing kind acts for her. But they all seem to annoy her. She tells me about it often. And Raven is violent with them sometimes. The other day a noble girl from Millfields, thought it was alright to talk badly behind one of Raven`s friend's backs. To Raven, some of the stuff she said upset Raven, so Raven shoved her lunch into th student's face." Mrs. Reggie gave herself a heart attack as Reaver through back his head and began to laugh. Midna turned to him and gave a displeasing look. Reaver looked at her and stopped. But couldn't help himself and giggled. Mrs. Reggie nervously told them about Raven`s grades then. They left. Mrs. Reggie took many deep breaths after they left her office. She had gone through hell and back.
Outside Reaver still proceed to giggle. Raven walked up to them and giggled when she saw her farther giggling. "What's so funny?" Raven asked Midna looked at Reaver. "Yeah Reaver what`s so funny?" Midna asked expecting him to stop and scorn Raven. "Raven so when you hit the girl with your lunch did she..." Midna looked at Reaver wide eyed and confused. She turned to him and placed her hands on her hips. He looked at her and said. "Yes dear," Midna then turned to Raven, she crossed her arms and Raven knew what she was in trouble for. Raven placed her hands behind her and looked down. "Raven?" Midna said sternly, "Yes mama?" Raven said looking up, her mother nodded her head and said. "Raven we don't toss food at people we hate." "Yes mama." "Now I don't wanna hear about this again ya hear?" Midna said, then Raven looked up and said. "Yes mama."
Later after that was done with, Raven showed her paintings to them. Reaver and Midna thought she really was talented and did an incredible job with them. Reaver wondered, he needed to get a painting of the family one of these days. Before Raven got to old, and so he could always see this tiny golden offspring.
As they walked around Midna and Reaver were greeted by butt kissing nobles. And Raven was standing by Midna like her parents, she didn't enjoy the company of butt kissing nobles. Some were nice, which the women whom Midna socialized with during the days. When Reaver was at work, and Raven was at school. Midna learned many ways, some ways of men treated their women were horrible. Reaver never treated Midna like the way the other women's husbands did. Although, if he did, he'd must have a death wish.
One little girl walked up to Raven, "My my, looked who showed up?" She said Midna`s marks made her back shiver. She looked towards Raven, to see her marks glow faintly through her sleeves. She looked at the other little girl in front of her. "Marilyn!" Midna heard a voice shout, it was oddly very familiar. A rather rude women pushed her way through.
This time Reaver felt his hairs stand on end from the extremely high magical auras next to him. He turned his head, and saw why. The women standing in front of them was the very whore from all those years ago. The one who had tried to throw herself at Reaver right as Midna walked in. Carolina Eastguard, was standing in front of Midna and his daughter. And a little girl next to Carolina. Midna and Raven looked dangerously at the two, Reaver thought what show would his queen perform tonight? With her acting assistant, Raven this would be interesting.
"Lady Midna." Carolina simply said, and she looked down towards Raven. Then down to her girl, Midna then said. "Carolina." Midna pulled Raven closer to her person. "Its good to see you." Carolina said. "Not a pleasure to see you Eastguard." Carolina snorted, "Well, Marilyn, still snorting out mash potatoes?" Raven asked in a mocking tone. Reaver giggled slightly. So Carolina is the mother of the girl whom Raven mashed in her face with her lunch.
This will be interesting indeed....
Ten minutes later...
Midna, Reaver, and Raven were all sitting in the carriage. Reaver sat across from the rather pissed Midna and frustrated daughter.
"Midna, you didn't have to throw her in the river..." Midna shot him a glance. "And Raven there was no need for you take daddy`s pistol and attempt to shot her from a distance. You can't shoot that far yet. And there was also no need for you to throw her in after her mother."
"They started it." Raven pointed out, Reaver only laughed and turned to Midna and said. "Honey, how do you feel about next parent conferences?" He asked, Midna didn't look away from the window. "We're not fucking going." And that was the exact answer Reaver wanted.
