Description
Chapter 17Midna, felt her feet land on the soft sand beneath her. From the morning sky she fell from. Clouds rushing past her, and also Sophie's warm tears. Midna landed on the warm sand, she landed on the land she loved so dearly. What she could call her home, for she felt it impossible to repair. She landed on her home, the home of most and least. The group landed, everyone got a chance to look around. Reaver seeing Hyrule for the first time hand never seen such a big lake before. He had to admit, he had only been in Hyrule for a few minutes. And he liked it, it felt safe.
Midna let go of Sophie's hand, and walked on the sand. "Walk home everybody." Link told them. Midna looked back at the group, and for some reason. The whole group for no reason at all began to laugh. Zelda and Link, even Sophie began to, even Reaver had the aurge to laugh. "WHOA!" Shouted the group, rasing their arms, then Zelda, Sophie and Midna ran for the edge of the desert. Sophie lost both of her shoes, and her cloak. Zelda as well. Midna just ran into without her skirt, just the black of her skin. Then Link, ran along, taking his shoes off and loosing his shirt. Reaver did the same as they all ran. Sophie, Midna and Zelda linked their hands, and jumped off the edge of the desert into the lake.
Midna came up shouting, as Link and Reaver came down. Reaver had done a perfect dive down, Link just jumped for it. The group rejoiced in the water, Midna swam over to Reaver. Wrapping her arms around him, their passion of a kiss was meet. Midna couldn't be happier. In the waters of Hyrule, in Hyrule in gernerl, in her home.
For the rest of the day, the group sat on the beaches of the lake. Not feeling like, going to the castle quite yet. Reaver however was enjoying himself, not like he did in a long time.
Reaver's little water vactions was rather… strange. There were these fish like creatures that swam up to them. One seemed to be a child of that race.
"Rails!" Midna shouted, the young child swam up to her giving her a hug. "Midna where have you been!? I hadn't seen you since the last time you helped me. Link and Zelda came to see me, but when I asked about you, they said they didn't know! But now you're here, and your well, but tell me. What were your adventures in the this new land of Albion?" Rails asked, seeming with questions like any child. Reaver and Sophie sat on the beach not yet sure about the new races. For all the other races in Albion, wanted to kill them all. They really only trust anything that was human like, except balverins which Reaver had, had enough of.
Reaver watched a bunch of Zoras swim up to her, Reaver looked down from the rock he was sitting on. He saw, what looked like female Zoras, they giggled at him. "What's so funny?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. The Zora girls got on the rock with him, he seemed very unsure how to handle the problem. If it was human girls, he would rather like it, but they were different. They crowded around him, he stood up fast as they were at his feet. "Stop." Reaver demanded, but they did not, their slimly fins traced over his legs. He backed away again, he looked over to Sophie or service and she sat there laughing, as her and Zelda chanted. He sighed in frustration, all of them giggled, now would be go time for Midna to be angry. He thought, then suddenly he landed on the rock, flat on his back. The female Zoras crawled on him, unbuttoning his shirt. He tried to get up, but they had pinned his arms down. For Reaver, this was trouble, but for the Zoras they never had seen a more handsome male human before.
But then before things got out of hand, Reaver heard Midna shouting her head off. Finally, he thought, he could hear the Zoras arguing with her over Reaver. First day in Hyrule, and women were already fighting over him. He laughing to himself, getting up. He sat up, the Zora that Midna was arguing with, had finally jumped into the water. Midna turned around, looking at Reaver she looked mad. She got down on all fours and crawled to him. She was over him, before kissing him. She looked to their side, with a pleasing smile. Reaver too, turned his head to see Zora head poking out of the water, with wide jaws. Midna sat on Reaver, his charming smile caught Midna off, guard before she blushed. It had been mouths, she wasn't use to it yet again.
Midna really wanted to show him the rest of Hyrule. As the group walked along the little bridges that were built for getting around the lake. The walked up to, a beautifully craved mouth of a cave, sea snakes reared their heads. Reaver had never seen such beautiful art, out by a cave. As he drew closer, Midna looked in small terror at the opening of cave. She was lost in her thoughts, Link noticed it and walked over to her. Reaver was always okay was Link talking to her, for Link was married and had no intention of betraying Zelda. Link whispered into her ear, but Midna only started to walk back. Reaver turned around, and walked to her. As he was next to her, she placed her hand on his shoulder. He knew what it meant, she was scared of something in the cave. "Are you alright?" Reaver asked, Midna didn't respond she only looked at the cave. Then taking his arm and taking a deep breath. He also knew what that meant, she was ready. Reaver looked at Link, the to nodded and began to walk into the cave.
To Reaver's surprise it was small, not very lengthy tunnel they had to pass through. On the other side, Reaver's heart bounced at the site. It was beautiful, a spring was down below, with beautiful craved rocks with strange lines going across. But, yet again the sea snake appeared on the side of the entrance. Sophie, hadn't been there before either. Reaver could feel the weight on his arm disappear, he looked to see Midna's eye glinting in a shadow form. Then waning to his shadow, he looked, he wished she would join him. Then before, they knew it, they heard a drop fall into the middle of the spring. Then, before his eyes, the lined rocks glowed with a golden light. The spring did too, a ball of twirling light raised above their heads. But, flinked at the sight of a golden snake, jump up from the spring to retrieve it. The snake then looked at him with bright eyes, as his golden body raised from the spring below. Reaver was speechless, he had never seen anything like it before. Then without moving its, mouth the creature spoke. "O King and Queen of Hyrule, what has thou have?" The creature then got, close to Reaver and Sophie. "Do not fear, humans, I can cause you no harm. Reaver," Said the creature turning to him. "You are the father of a almost ready to be born child." He said, he looked at Reaver's shadow. "Midna," he said, Organ eyes glinted, but slowly turned away. "Midna I know we can not speak or see each other. But, thou does want to say, thee sorry. For the harm, I have cause you, the pain you must have indured. Must have be terriable, forgive me, Twilight Princess." The creature bowed its head to Reaver's shadow. Then back away, "Your highness, I wish to offer my blessing to the child. Come here once more, after the child is born. I can offer my wisdom to the child. But, Reaver and Midna, do not fear for your son. He is being protected by the power of the light. Link and Zelda, you must travel to the castle once more and begin what will be the finally war. I beg of you as the Light Spirit, consult the other Light Spirits as well. They must know of the child, but know this. This is the secret and mistake that the Dark ones made. For the twins to reach their full potenional, they must fully combine their powers. The twins are balanced, men and women, dark and light. Your child that you carry now is the one of light, the other of the dark. But, beware Reaver and Midna, Link and Zelda and Sophie. The child will be born the same time as Raven, at time they will learn the secret of the two. They will come for her all their lives, raise her to be leader. Raise her to be a fighter, and to be a pure Hybrid.
" She is the only hope that we have, and so is her bother. Beware, for Dark ones power, not even Midna, the Queen of Darkness will be able to match it let alone touch it. Beware of the ever growing power of the Darkness." Reaver watched as the Light Spirit started to fade away, and kept repeating, beware. Reaver a sigh of threat from this news, a threat to his child. Wait, did he suddenly care for her? All that time he really didn't, but at the same time he began to get excited. He shook himself of that, a child was nosiy and annoying. But, he thought again, this was going to be his child. Not those parents who seem, to raise their children into little monsters. On the way back, Reaver had forgotten that Midna was a shadow. As the others stayed at the beach, Reaver walked off. He needed sometime to think, he sat at the edge of the shore.
The sun, began to set, and he watched. Just watched not a single thought crossed his mind. No worries or stress, he found himself later on gazing at the stars. Then a figure appeared next to him, she placed her hand over his on the ground. He wasn't startled by her sudden reappearing anymore. He was very use to it by now, he be a fool if he wasn't. Midna looked very pale, well, paler then normal. "Something the matter, my dear?" He asked, feeling a bit of concern. "Nothing, its just the cave, gave me the jitters." She said, Reaver remembered in the book, what had happened.
He felt very bad for her, it was worse then any toture he had ever heard of. Midna leaned her hand on his shoulders, Reaver placed his arm around her shoulder. Comforting her, suddenly she lifted her head up. She kissed him lightly on the cheek. "Reaver, we need to talk about something." Midna began, she sat up and looked at him straight in the eyes. "When Raven is born, if it comes down to it. I hope not though, I want you to chose…" She held her breath, Reaver knew this wasn't going to be good. "Me or the baby." Midna said, Reaver felt his throat dry. Suddenly, early he would have chosen Midna easy. But, now he wasn't so sure.
He didn't speak, he simply looked down at the water. Looking at himself, not being able to answer that question. But he simply said. "Well, we'll cross that bridge when come to it." He answered, Midna didn't look at all pleased, but it something out of him she guessed. Then a lantern was coming their way, it was Link, and the other two. "Come love birds, we have to get back to the castle." Zelda told them, then before more was said. Midna snapped her fingers, warping was how everyone traveled now. Midna, landed them in front of a draw bridge on the south enterence of Castle Town.
Link, Zelda, and Midna pulled on their cloaks. "Are you guys ready to see the castle?" Zelda asked. "Yep." Sophie said, Reaver then asked Sophie. " Haven't you see the castle already?" Sophie shook her head in excitement. "No we were in the desert, trying to figure out a way to come get you two. You two can never stay apart can you?" Sophie asked, Sophie had see the castle from the desert. Link told her that, through out all his travels you could see. The castle from anywhere in Hyrule. Sophie watched the castle wondering how long it had taken. To built it, it was huge with a closer look.
The group walked on the newly built bridge. Sophie and Reaver saw, to their surprise more Hylians. One, stood and raised a hand, sending fire bolts. To the torches that were to light the way. Then walked off without a second thought, as they entered. They came to guards in surprising, strong armor. They opened the tall doors, the town was quiet. But still a bit busy, as they walked Hylians of all kinds. Ran up and down the streets carrying something in their hands. The gardens were beautiful, stables not barely chipped at their right.
Reaver had to admit it, he was impressed. Their was circus tent that was reaching for the skies above. As they were going towards the centers of the city. A foutian stood, clean and fresh and the symbol of the royal family. Was spotted in the middle, Reaver looked to see fine resturants. Then crazy shops, closed for the night. This was better then any land, he had been to or discovered.
Reaver looked, up to see an emorus castle standing tall and proud before him. Reaver looked all around, this kingdom, must be a rich land. The pillars in front of shops, were freshly painted. But one thing shocked him, he saw a school. It was small but it worked. Then another school just down the west entrance.
As they walked to castle, they came in front of another pair of huge doors. Hylians guards in silver armor, with the family crest on their chests. Stood guard, the stood in front of the group. "Speak you business." He asked, in a Hylian language, Reaver had learned it through Midna. He'd imagin that Sophie learned it with Link and Zelda. Oh, Reaver loved his days, in the study. Midna sitting in her normal spot, Reaver sitting at either his desk or chair. The fire going, and tea being brought. He really liked it when it snowed. He would have imaged, that being in the Spire for six mouths. The holiday he never quite fathdom was Chrismas. Never understood, it he was always so genours letting his workers that one day off. They were all so lazy, he'd think they would be lucky working for him. He pays then, slitly sometimes not at all. Free labor was the best kind.
They had possiable had many days off, lazy bums. As they walked onto the bridge all his thoughts of his lazy workers passed. Then the feeling of homesick got to him. He liked living in the manor with Midna, it was peaceful. But that soon passed to, when he looked at the endless pit below him. The castle sat on an island in the middle. Then before he knew it, another pair of huge doors swung open.
Reaver peered to see a beautiful palace garden. Silver and crystal sluaptures had green plants growing them, with all kinds of colored flowers. Sophie, gasped at how big it was. There were four huge towers, linked together with stone bridges. They entered the castle and even then, it still took breaths away. Huge crystal shanderls huge from the ceiling they didn't look, like they were powered from fire though. "Zelda, what light is that?" Sophie asked, as Zelda and Link pulled off hoods. "Oh, I am glad you asked. You see back in history thousands of years ago. Our Hylian ansetors comduced a way. For us to have light without candle making or fireplaces. He learned how to use, monsters. Most of them aren't around anymore, well unless you count the desert. But, certain monsters, gave off and electrical kick or wave. So we learn how to use that, and have our inventions work. Like a train, I went to the Hole in Albion. I looked at the crashed car. I was amazed, but it was steam powered. Like out trains here, and our boats are also steamed powered.
"But the lights our, the favorites. Sometimes we have black outs though. So watched your step if there is one. Oh yes I almost forgot. Here." Zelda finishing her long, and educational lecture, handed out maps to each. "You'll need them in case you get lost. I have a few times already." Link said, taking out his own. "Is the castle really that big? That you can get lost." Zelda shook her head in yes. "Yes, when I was child we had to send search parties for me. We had to send some for Link." Link, glared playfully at Zelda. Then looked at the map. "Alright well, I think our maids can show you to your rooms." Zelda walked over to a small dark corner of the room. Then pulled on a silk purple rope.
They could hear, the clapping of shoes against the tile floors, rush. A few well dress, and beautiful women rushed in and bowed to their King and Queen." Ah I going to need rooms, for our guests. Make sure you pick just the right ones. Queen Sophie will be taken to a room with view. Our Princess Midna, and her mate will have room together. Now rush, rush we have a big day tomorrow. We must introduce them to the people. Now," Zelda turned to the group. "I want, all of you bright eyed by ten." Then the maid took, Sophie away. Then Link and Zelda walked up some stairs. Each going in a different directions, Reaver and Midna were lead up stairs. Midna still kept her cloak over her. The pointed eared maid, opened some doors. The two peered inside.
It was huge, there was also a bleckcony outside, a fireplace to keep warm. And a shandarlyer huge above. Reaver looked at the bed, and was speechless. "Is there anything I can get the both of you." Reaver and Midna, looked at eachother and shrugged. "No were fine." He said, then the maid closed the doors. Reaver and Midna walked around, the floors were marble. The walls, in corners had beautiful designs craved into them. Then the Royal Family symbol hung over the bed. Reaver walked over the bed patting on it and saying. "Imagion what we can do on this bed." He said, Midna giggled she walked over taking her hood off. Giving Midna a look, she walked over to the bed. Pushing Reaver down, she leaned down kissing him hard. Reaver's hand, unbuttoned everything off Midna's. And in return Midna did the same.
