Chapter 8: The Pirate KingRaven felt herself on a soft silky bed that reminded her of her parent's bed. She cuddled under the covers she loved being in her manor. Sleeping in her warm parent's. Who were downstairs enjoying breakfast, waiting for her to get her get up.
But then again it was strange, the bed didn't feel stable. It felt as though, it was. Swaying, but that was impossible, mansions don't sway. Then the memories of burning Bowerstone, the giant spider thing, Sparrow explaining to her, her destiny. And the stranger, no not stranger, her FATHER kidnapping her. Raven shot up and looked around. She was in a sort of cabin, it was nice. She looked to see she was in nice pj's, she looked at the back wall of the room. Which wasn't a wall at all, but a strong window. She looked to see giant blue-green waves hit the side of the ship. She jumped off the bed, and looked at the window. She was out at sea. How on earth was she going to get back now?
She looked around the room, it had a dresser with a brush and a can of hair gel. There were old, cool looking weapons on the walls. She heard steps coming towards the door, she looked around and saw a dagger on the dresser. She grabbed it and ran behind the door. She kept it firm in her grip, when the door opened. She saw a brown booted figure step in, she could only see him from the back. He was tall ina red and gold suit with brown hair, boots, and gloves. He walked in shutting the door, as Raven took one step to try and at least stab him in the leg. The floor board creaked underneath her weight. With a flash, the man turned around and shot the steel part of the dagger. Making it fly out of her hand. She held her hands up as to prove she didn't have more weapons to pull.
Then she was sure, it was her dad alright. His hair curled to the front the same, but had small beard thing under his bottom lip. He put away the gun and gave his normal smirk. "Hello Raven."
She looked confused and was, how in Hyrule did he know her name? Raven gave him a quizzical look. He then said, as if he could read her like a book. He turned around and walked over to the bed, he pulled out of his coat a simple leather bond book. He then sat on the bed. "If you come over here and I can explain how I know of you. And why I took you." Raven didn't move. "Oh for goodness sake Raven, I won't shot at you again. And I'm your father, I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. Look" He took out his pistol and emptied, then threw it on the other side of the bed. Then Raven then walked over to the bed, she then couldn't help this feeling of trust her blood father. She sat on the bed and he flipped through the pages. He came to page with Midna, holding her nine mouth old pregnant belly. He showed the picture to Raven. She took to book and Reaver said. "That was your mother when she was pregnant, well with just you at the time. "
"Her and my future self came here about year ago. I hand recorded the whole experience, then a blue spirit cast a spell in the journal. She said after you arrive again, the spell with undo itself and give me back my memory. And she told me, that you need to be taken to Hyrule." "Why?" Raven asked, then Reaver said. "Because your too young to even go up against Demise. I'm taking you there to open, The Passage of Time. Which is in the Temple of Time, there you'll have the passage and control of time on your side. "
"But why couldn't the others come?" Raven asked, he then said. "Because the temple can only carry one along the river of time. Plus they are needed here, where they belong." Raven got up and said. "I can't just leave them." She said, Reaver sighed and said. "Raven you can and you must, its not just Aaron they want. I don't know why they want you. But their whole plan wouldn't work without you. If you leave you stop their plan, at least for awhile." Raven turned away, she had to be separated from her friends and family. But her past father made it clear. Without her, the evil one's plan doesn't work. Then she can come back and defeat Demise.
"Alright how are we getting there?" She asked he smiled and said. Through the seas, I'm taking you back to the rift you went through to get here." Raven nodded and let one light tear fall down her face. Reaver stood up and patted her on the shoulder. "It will be alright you'll see." She hung her head, Reaver picked her up and placed her back on the bed. He covered her and said. "We'll be there in about two hours or so. So, get some rest." He said and walked out. Raven then began to sob, she didn't think it would be this soon. To have to face the worst enemy known to the world. The thought was not comforting, but Raven eventually fell back asleep.
In the next hour Reaver woke her up, she looked up to him. "I have some things for you." He said, Raven sat up, and Reaver handed her a pair of adult clothes. A long tough purple leather jacket, with a tough fabric and leather corset. Tough fabric pants, with thigh high boots. Gloves, and a pistol. "You'll need these." Raven nodded and said, "thank you." Reaver gave her another pair of clothes to change into. And packed her a bag, as Raven sat brushing her hair.
Several hours later, at night Reaver and Raven got off of the ship and were in Oakfield. It was night, he ordered the ship to go around the cliff next to the town so is not to be spotted. Reaver and Raven crept through the night life village. He often checked to make sure no one was coming, they finally stopped at the road that lead out of the village.
"Why were we sneaking out of the village?" Raven asked when they came to a hill that looked down on the whole village. She looked down to see clusters of lights in the village it would have made the most picture perfect moment Raven thought. "Because I'm sure Sparrow knew about my ship being in port. Shes going to seem it strange I didn't come to shot her. Then left all the sudden, she'll come looking for me. Question me, she have her suspicion raised. As for your brother, you couldn't dream anything with that chemical floating around in your system. So he couldn't see anything through your eyes. But, I'm sure he's getting fuzzy images even as we speak."
Raven thought for a moment, then Reaver pulled a lantern from the tree. He set it on ground and said. "Now Raven am going to teach a spell you may already know. But you can't do it by choice, so for starters. I want you to light the lantern." Raven looked at him the only time she could do a serious spell like that was, unexpected, not really on command. She looked at it and tried to picture flames, the wick bursting into flames. She felt the energy flow within her, and then she let it out aiming it towards the wick. The lantern jumped up a foot in the air, when it suddenly burst with green flames. It landed and Reaver raised his eyebrows and said. "Well, next time don't release so much energy." He picked it up and lite it with a match he held it by the handle and said. "Come on." He said, Raven followed him in the dark with only the lantern to light their way. They came to an empty field, the grass was tall and green as Raven remembered it the first time. There wasn't anything, Raven looked up at Reaver. He kneed down and handed her the lantern. He then said.
"This is as far as I go, remember go into the Temple of Time. Go to the sword chamber and pull out the sword."
"But last time I went in there the sword wasn't there." "It will be there trust me." Raven then looked at the field, then she say what looked like a distoration in the field. "The gate is invisible and will react to anyone from the other side of that time. All you have to do is walk across the field, and it will bring you to Temple. Now, go on." He told her Raven re-adjusted her bag, and held of the lantern. She then turned around right as was in the middle of the field. She turned around and said."Dad, I love you." He didn't look quite how to respond then he cleared his throat and said. "I love you too."
Raven turned around again and continued walking through the field. Then she raised her foot and it went invisible. This was it, she thought, then she held her breath and completely walked through the gate.
As Reaver say Raven disappear, he all the sudden felt light headed. His vision faded. He felt like he was falling asleep, then as his head dropped down. He woke himself back up when he did, he wondered what the hell he was doing in this field? Where was he? Why was he here?
He didn't question it, but followed his footsteps back. Unaware of the light footsteps that began to quickly disappear.
Raven felt her body fly through the portal though space and time its self. Then she felt her feet slowly sink to solid ground. When she opened her eyes, she was in the ruins of the temple. She was standing on the royal family symbol, and looked up. Still dark, she then turned around and climbed up to the door that lead to the past temple. When she finally lifted herself up she looked at the door. She then placed her hand on the door and it glowed blue in the middle where the doors split. And the doors opened revealing a gray version of the temple. Raven looked up at the stars, taking in their beauty. She didn't know when she'd get to see them again. So may as well take in their beauty now, Raven wished she had looked at the stars more often. She then looked back at the door, she put down the lantern. Blew it out, then walked through the door. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again. She was in the temple, the same as always.
She walked to sword chamber, she blinked as she saw. Her father was right, the master sword was just sitting there. In the mantel like always, Raven walked over and she felt a large magical aura in the chamber. She felt as if the temple was calling her in a way. She walked over to the sword and her father's words echoed in her head. She gripped one little hand around the handle. Then gripped it with the other, she felt everything was about to change the second she pulled that sword. She was nervous and scared. But someone where in herself, she felt the bravery of her mother and father. When they fought together in the Spire. She with all her strength yanked out the sword with one try. She looked at the heavy sword amazed, it didn't reject her. She was it's new master, then as she did the doors behind her shut. And a blue light poured up from around the hex shaped stage lift. All the sudden Raven couldn't move, and felt herself grow really, really sleepy. Then her eyes slowly begin to shut as the temple started to shift. And everything was changing.
