Description
O swift and ever swifter climb we on the sea.The wind breaks waves that yield to bow and stern,
As well as whispers soft of no return.
Despite the ravaged storm from which we flee,
Our captain stands as fearless as can be.
For he has yet his weathered life to burn,
And claims that he has time left still to earn.
While sight beyond his younger days is key.
Poor choice it was to follow him so blind
Ignoring reason was his only vice
Too bad for all aboard to learn too late
That no one is immune to fate unkind
Too bad as well that death should be the price
Since it was only one whose pride was sate.
