Description Regret-

The spiders crept along the ground
Until I killed them all and found
That they had been to capture flies
The color of our darkest lies.
They take wing and go corrupting,
Plague is spreading, fire erupting.
Finding that by the words of one
The lives of many can be done.
Time may fly swifter than the sand
Through the immortal’s sober hand,
And winding through the wind that sees
All the souls taken by disease.

Redemption-

The birds that flew above the clouds
Avoid untruths that hide in shrouds.
Like the spiders they eat the flies
The color of our darkest lies.
They take to wing to spread just light,
Hope is spreading as they’re in flight.
To know that beauty finds us all
Can keep the blissful from their fall.
Time may fly swifter than the sand
Through the pure hopeful’s wistful hand,
And winding through the wind that sees
All of the souls are put to ease.
