Description
The falling leaf would be the fallen stone,Its progress halted on the ground, but not alone:
Companion to the blushing flower's bloom,
Creating tapestries unique on nature's loom.
Yet while the golden leaf descends its airy stair,
The lowly fallen stone sees beauty not despair.
The fallen stone would be the falling leaf,
Whose rapid dainty path would bring the still relief.
And even though the wind will change its course,
The fragile leaf will simply dance to mock its force.
Before the leaf had kissed the ground, before it ceased its flight,
They saw each other as they were, they saw the other's plight.
The yellowed leaf was ravaged, ripped, and torn
And ancient solitary stone was tired and worn.
Though each were bound within their separate fates,
That they were so bound, now binds them, and relates.
