With great power comes great responsibility. I think I know how Rarity feels here. I wouldn't have given such power to someone like Twilight, I don't know, I just don't think so highly of magic in their society as a whole. Maybe its the Dystopian in me talking.

I love how RD despite being totally beat up still has the strength to say "Awesome...". XD
I can imagine it being said in a half-dying, half-tired voice but still with the awe-undertone and the "cool move, egghead"-edge in it. ^g^
Yeah, TwiΒ΄s magic as an Unicorn is terrific though we know there are spells she cannot use like the age spell, but the amount of power she got and the quick ways she learns new magic spells or advances in already learned ones like the teleportation one - that alone makes her damn special as a caster. And scary for those who know how difficult it is to use magic.
Well, now that sheΒ΄s an alicorn in the show, i guess the future magic parts from her will be more of a "well, sheΒ΄s an alicorn. ofc sheΒ΄s good at magic" instead of a "holy, did she just? but sheΒ΄s only an unicorn!".
I canΒ΄t wait to read what the Earth pony general has to say or how his chara is like, his design is already glorious, liked him the moment i saw him.

They're the symbols representing the different branches of the Equestrian military.
The Royal Equestrian bureau of magic and intelligence,
The Equestrian air guard,
and the EPMC (Earth pony marine corps)
It'll all be explained in the coming pages.
