I'm currently binging on X-Men: The Animated Series and I've completely fallen in love with Rouge who has since become my new favorite character from the show (my initial favorite was Jubilee who I plan to draw at some point as well). Of all the versions of Rogue that I'm familiar with (this one, the one from the movies, and the one from X-Men Evolution), the first and the third are tied for favorite incarnation.Related content

I had the same reaction to Rogue from the 90's animated series but ironically, I didn't like her that much at all! She felt like one-dimensional "dumb muscle" at first, but even then, I wanted to know more about her! When we finally got her origin story, I couldn't get enough of her! She became so much more than an overpowered "load bearer"! She became a tragic powerhouse! MARVEL is at their best when they have characters with powers that are both a blessing AND a curse, so Rogue was tailor made for a super hero group there!
