The final stage of what had the codename 'Kamina bird' before being named is based on several things:
1. the Gurren Lagann reference still is there. Look at the eye pattern and you may see it.
2. super heroes. Yes, the scarf-like feathers and the behaviour of helping people, as well as the muscular body shape all come from there.
3. Lucky Luke. A traveler that helps people, then rides towards sunset. Not quite, but close.
Overall, this one's just a badass migrant bird. Definitely one of my favorites.
