An entry into Agorapode's Monthly Transportation Design Contest. The theme for September was a combination of "Car," "Batcave," and "Future." I didn't win, but check out the entries here:  www.agpcontest.com/september-2…

My initial ideas were to go for something sleek and simple; while the final design referenced classic car design and old-school Batman, I believe the inclusion of high-tech elements (such as the LED batsymbol on the front) helps to push the design into the future.
While I like the front and rear portions of the car, the sides are lacking somewhat. Perhaps having a pop-out motorcycle exit via the side(s) could add visual interest and practicality.

Painting reflections via reference can be challenging, but creating realistic reflection/shading while also considering shape, perspective, and color is something else! Originally, I was painting the blue of the vehicle too bright and had to tone it back.

I planned to include Robin alongside Batman (there's me setting high expectations ) but time restraints met I could only create a character design for Batman. That said, I do think the Neo-Futuristic Dark Knight looks great!
