Description
During a long wait between flights in the airport, I amused myself by drawing sketches of a bunch of "My Little PCs" - or, that is, ponies drawn in the newer MLP style (or something approximating it) in the roles of various traditional sword & sorcery adventurer types. Some of them were a bit easier than others (for instance, drawing a "ranger" was a bit of a challenge; how is a pony supposed to fire a bow, with hooves?).I then scanned in my sketches, and this is the first one I re-drew in Adobe Illustrator as vector art, and then colored in, representing a unicorn-type pony spellcaster. I suppose unicorns (ala MLP) are inherently magical, so making one a "wizard" is probably redundant, and the wand is there more out of cuteness than any pretense of utility ... but it just seemed like the best fit.
I suppose once I get the whole set done, I could arrange them in InDesign as "figure flats" for a pdf page. That way, if anyone seriously wants to try playing a game of Savage Worlds with pony characters ("My Savage Pony?"), here are a few character archetypes that could potentially represent the heroes (and a few monstrous adversaries, such as zombie ponies).
While I'm at it, here's a link to the Savage Worlds forum thread on the Pinnacle site that inspired me to make "My Savage Pony" figure flats: ([link] )
