I read a fan-fic (2-3 connected ones) about Rhubella's involvement in a scheme with Max and others at Acme Looniversity to get rid of a cheetah who wasn't too toony. He hunted prey with his bare paws in his native land. Rhubella, in the end, turned over a new leaf, appalled at having injured Mary Melody by mistake, and transferred from Perfecto to Acme.

That may explain why Alvin & Simon are dressed more conventionally. They wore floor-length shirts in the cartoons and one wondered if they had ANY clothes on underneath.

One of my characters, the funny-brained Chrysalis, sometimes quipped "underneath our clothes, we are ALL naked !" which got her odd lookd !

I recall one episode which made me blush: the one where they see some baby movies. Theodore in the bathtub, Alvin's diaper falling off. We don't actually see a barebottom Alvin, we see the reaction on Alvin's face when He sees it ! By some mishmash of fate, their baby film winds up on national TV ! O God !
