Description Based on guard dogs and the controversial subject of Dog Fighting, but with a more innocent overtone (akin to Combusken/Blaziken) Species-wise, based on a Pitbull, Boxer, and Great Dane. The colour scheme is in homage to the red and blue corners in boxing.

--------------------

Basic Stage: Scrapull - The Scuffle Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Scrappy/Intimidate
Name Meaning: Scrap-Pitbull
Evolves: lvl 22

A boisterous PokΓ©mon, it can be hard for rookie trainers to control. It will readily stand off against foes much larger than itself.

-------------------

First Stage: Boxurge - The Tussle Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Scrappy/Intimidate
Name Meaning: Boxer-Surge
Evolves: lvl 42

Its enthusiasm for training makes it popular in fitness gyms. A fight between two BOXURGE could last for days.

--------------------

Second Stage: Danine - The Ruthless Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Scrappy/Intimidate
Name Meaning: Dane-Canine

A large and menacing pokemon, often used as a night guard. Its huge forearms block attacks to its torso; only when it fully trusts its trainer will it let its guard down.

It was hard to decide weather or not to make them dark/fighting, as their colour schemes and bios made it seem that way. They would learn dark type attacks like Bite and Crunch though

I gotta comment on this line. So amazing, and I think it looks better than our newly introduced puppy PokΓ©mon line in Black and White (Yoterrie, Harderrier, and Murand, even though the latter has an epic mustache XD). I can easily see it learn moves as varied as Bite, Pursuit, Roar, Howl, Crunch, Odor Sleuth, and Take Down (just like most of the PokΓ©mon canine classes), to Fighting-type moves such as Double Kick and, quite possibly, Close Combat or Jump Kick and Hi Jump Kick. That, coupled with a boastful Attack stat and moderate Speed (as I envision it), and you have yourself quite the bruiser.

And, as always, you impress me with your work, Josh. Keep it up!

Wow thanks for the thoughtful comment! That movepool is pretty much what I had in mind, so its good you picked up on it too
I love when people do little movepool/stat assumptions for my Pokemon, it makes them seem more real to me (I've probably said this before)
And its interesting that you mentioned the Yorterrie line. Of the 3, I like the middle stage most, the final stage is SO ugly! I feel sorry for it. Its like the Purugly canine version. I hope its official art does it some justice...
Thanks again for the comment!

No problem at all, buddy. And you are right: Murand is kind of ugly, in a sense (a much exaggerated mustache probably broke the appeal, instead of going for the 'epic' route ). It's like the design team had potential for it, but fell short at the last minute.

That aside, and I'm sure you probably covered this in a note, but have you any idea on who are you going to include in your team of six when Black and White get released in English? Some of them are so good not to pass up for being on the team temporarily; however, I think I have decided on my in-game team, once things fall into place:

Daikenki (Stage-2 form of Mijumaru), Swanna (Windstorm FTW!), Ononox (Stage-2 form of Kibago, and the only pure-Dragon family to date), Ulgamoth (Fire/Bug hybrid), Zebraika (Stage-1 form of Shimama), and Mebukijika (the Normal/Grass-type Seasonal PokΓ©mon grew on me with its diversified move pool that I can't possibly pass on it...lol).

Well, its not fully decided yet, cos the official art always makes me like stuff more, but definate members so far are:

Swanna, Vaivanilla, Agirudaa, Nattorei

Well, Great Danes, or should I say German Mastiffs, were bred to fight wild boar, so you weren't that far off with the type combo. Danine's color scheme just howls "Scooby Doo," which makes this family even more awesome since Scooby is a "Great Dane" after all.

You're welcome! In that case I think I've found the perfect fakemon guise for those meddlin' kids' dog in Iron/Copper. I suppose Scooby the Danine and the Mystery Kids' moments with me and my buddies would be fun to watch, given his, er, personality quirks.
