Story
Months had passed since Nina first back back to Wedgewood. Summer had just started, bringing with it all its optisism and promises about progress. Just like Alva had predicted, Ninas body remembered very well how to ride, and her mind soon catched up. As with many other things, when you realize you are good at something, the motivation to continue grows. It didnt take long until Nina mounted her hotheaded stallions. Ex was no longer the horse he used to be. The fall had left him without injuries, but he was getting older, and spending most of his time in a pasture the past months hadnt done much for his muscles. Tintagel on the other hand was still young, his body ready to be built. He sure wasnt the easiest to ride, specially not for someone who was still getting back into it, but the chemistry was there, they understood each other. Nina sometimes had the feeling she remembered things. Mental images of her and Ex, a feeling... But it was brief, and hard to hold on to. She was never sure if it was an actual memory, or a product of all the things she had been told, all the photos and videos she had been shown of the two.

Without her emotional connection to Ex she was however able to make decitions she probably wouldnt have made with a healthy brain. Looking at his age, the fact that he hadnt been trained for a long time, and the possible damage that could come to his knees if he went back to jumping, it was clear that he had to be retired. The news came as a shock to the others at the stable. They still had all the sentimental memories and expectations for the equipage that Nina lacked.

"I want to focus on Tintagel now" Nina was firm in her decition. "He has an amazing pedigree, we have great chemistry, and it makes much more sense to focus on a younger horse with potential than to train up an old horse, even if he did get far. Its a new chapter in my life. I have a new way of looking at things, and I need a new horse to accompany me"

Those of you who glance at the signature you can see that this drawing is over a year old. The reason it took me so long to upload was that I missed a piece, the story previous to this one. I've been dictracted by other for the past year, but hopefully i can get up to speed on this story thats been i my head for a long time.
