In fact the video version is the intended way to experience it; I just quickly formatted it into a more traditional comic for DA, hence the text in the second panel being kinda scuffed

The card game mode in the Splatoon 3 Direct really came out of left field for me, & combining that w/ the fact that we're also getting lockers resulted in... me making this, lol

The 2nd panel's background actually took multiple attempts. I started w/ a pretty detailed hallway full of lockers that used a purple color scheme to compliment the yellow of the characters. Unfortunately, while this approach would have worked well for an standalone comic, it was too much to process visually for the 2 seconds it's on-screen video-wise Then I made the starburst background you see here, & finally the 2-tone gradient one in the final vid. It was kind of a pain to keep paring it down like that, but at least I learned an important lesson about the relationship between background detail & duration, haha
