I'm very curious to see how they handle the height issue in 2020.Until then, I'm looking forward to Rodan, Mothra, and the other King.

He was smaller than Godzilla the first time they fought,Kong was 45 meters tall while Godzilla was 50 meters tall. So it would be wise for him to still be smaller than Godzilla in this one too. Kong even beat Godzilla in the original.
I agree,I too would like to see them team up,at first they'll fight each other before eventually teaming up. That way both Godzilla and Kong fans would be happy.
BTW there is going to be a sequel to 'Shin Godzilla'.

I wouldn't look so pleased, Godzilla. It's been hinted that Kong isn't quite at his full height yet - he's still a growing boy. And his movie took place in the 70's, i think, so he'll have plenty of time to train, and grow before the big rematch. Hope you've got some mouth-wash after he shoves another tree down your throat!XDXDXd

Also if Kong were to grow as big as Godzilla in this universe simply by virtue of ageing and not some other x-factor then he was a toddler during the Kong movie.

Toddler, or at an age that would equate him to a teenager by human years. And as i said, this movie takes place in the 70's, or something like that. So that's plenty of time for a kaiju that may still be growing to reach full maturity. Besides, i think kaiju grow up a bit faster than humans do. So the possibility is there.

The height issue is probably just from Kong being about 11 in Gigantic brown gorilla years.

How big were you at 11 compared to now?
At most, "realistically" he could double in size...if he was a small child or toddler in Kong Skull Island, which it really didn't feel like he was.
Honestly the whole *he is still growing* thing feels tacked on last minute to excuse the future movie and not the intention of the film maker who clearly wanted to make a King Kong movie first and any expanded universe elements secondary.

it nothing else I hope he doesn't get any bigger than 200 feet, even that is pushing it to have scenes of Kong climbing buildings and elbow dropping another monster or the other awesome potentials we could have with this fighter Kong in a city.

It doesn't particularly need him doing that, but I don't want Kong being any taller than Godzilla.
