Nettlecloud watched as Echopaw came out of the nursery cavern & set down a young kit. She could hear the silent wails of Silentshadow calling for her kit. She got up & went to the young one. She said to have a safe journey to MoonClan & that a young life cut short is the beginning of many things. She walked away & jumped up the embankment, out of the cave she walked.
Nettlecloud could see falling leaves meaning that leaf-fall was around the corner. She turned around the bramble bush & ran into a kittypet. The kittypet looked surprised as she drew her claws. When Nettlecloud realized the kittypet that he had no collar. She asked him what her was doing out here. The kittypet replied with that he was no longer a kittypet & would live wild. She asked him for his name. He said his name was Stone no longer & she should call him Stoneseed in honor of his sister who died trying to escape.
Nettlecloud nodded & took him to camp. When she entered she saw that the elder Stonedust was lying next to the kit still. She new that he had died. She took Stoneseed to Graylight & went to say goodbye to her father. As she sat next to him she could hear a faint calling in the distance. She tried to block it but it kept going. She saw that Batpelt felt it to. She stood up & signaled Batpelt to follow.
As she ran Batpelt kept up with her when they reached the hill they saw what was calling them. Twolegs were swarming the valley & a group of cats were getting attacked by them. She leaped forward with Batpelt beside her. They leaped at the twolegs swatting at their legs & paws when they came to close.
She told Batpelt to save the queens & kits. As she fought a twoleg brought out a stinky skinny log thing. Suddenly the thing exploded in a bang. She saw a cat fall with blood flowing from a perfect wound. She called the thing a loud stick. She stopped her fight grabbed a kit & told everyone to run. A few elders & senior warriors stayed & were killed. As she reached the hill she saw them follow. She led everyone to the cave.
Her clanmates were surprised & she told them the twolegs had taken hold of the valley. If they didn't leave now they would all be killed. At once her clanmates packed up & started getting ready to leave. The first call of a twoleg reached them. She saw Graylight & Gempool help Crystalstar. She signaled with her tail for them to follow. As she emerged she saw them all with loud sticks. She led them up the stone trail & over the mountain.
They reached the top & a sun trail showed upon them. They would follow the rising sun to a new home. They climbed down to the other side & walked across the moorland. Nettlecloud in the lead to take them into the unknown.
