Created by SQUAT and BABOO, without Finster or Rita knowing, was Shellshock, a fierce fighting kaiju with a wide array of unconventional weapons that allowed him to come within a hair of destroying the rangers. Shellshock used his traffic light to freeze all but the yellow and red ranger solid, and put the yellow ranger under the green power light which forced the valiant warrior to continuously run (almost to exhaustion) while the red ranger fought with the beast with the Tyrannozord, only to take a good beating by the titanic turtle kaiju, who would have been successful had the yellow ranger not discovered, with Zordon's help that the monster had a severe allergy to a certain yellow plant which weaken him to where the red ranger and the Tyrannozord destroyed him with the sonic roar, freeing the other rangers and the people Shellshock had froze.
