I promised doing some pics in summer, and I was with my folder of pseudo-posters in my vacations in Monterrey (Nuevo Leon, Mexico) all the time. Unfortunately, and thanks to the weather (between 35-40ºC in general during one month) I only did and finished one pic, that was this... probably my first time drawing the whole Blur members as their real portraits.

I was thinking on redoing one of their pics at my style and suddenly I picked this one. It is one of my favorite photos ( [link] , the original drawing lines and comparison with the picture) and I think it was from their earlier years as a band (1993, I believe) and describe the message of the Modern Life is Rubbish album... actually, I think the message remains to our days, in a 16 years later period.

But one of the most difficult details was drawing and shadowing each part of the picture that was very dark. So I was reimagining (?) how were the details of Damon's jacket or even how was darked the arm of Dave.

Also... can you guess where the title of the pic comes from?
