Description
I can't wait for spring time to come although we already have spring - due to the calendar anyway..The drawing was created using one mechanical pencil and the green color was added in photoshop - that was the only refining done on the computer. This is not a scan, it's a photo because I don't own a scanner - maybe that's better because while scanning many details of the shading get lost and when you take a digital picture you get a high quality 'reproduction' althohough sometimes the lighting differences are very visible.. Like in this one. The paper sheet I did the picture on is snow and clean but on the photo it's.. Hm.. Darker and kind of 'shadowed'
Whatever. That was the info for these who asked why on my traditional art half of the work seems to be darker..media: mechanical 2B pencil

I think it's beautiful, composition etc. but I think, that without horizontal lines on the skirt it will be much better!

That is so beautiful. Despite the subdued (and slightly gloomy) hue of green, this piece just makes me feel really happy due to the blossoming leaves and the singing girl. Gorgeous line detail; I love the precise shading, the intricate patterns, the contrast between the light and dark tones, and especially the elaborate design itself. Love the dress and her tangled hair! ::goes starry-eyed::
Seriously, I can really identify with this drawing, mostly due to the joyous feeling it conveys. Instant favorite.

i think it turned out very well. it seems so simple yet very detailed at once. i realy like all the swirly vines and leaves and the hair was done beautifully.

Argh, the only things I hate about pencils:
1. If you're not carefull enough you can easily get the drawing smeared all over the paper sheet and it becomes dirty.. Together with your hand xDDD
2. It sometimes can become really trashy after you scan it >____>
