[Upon arriving in Green Gate, the group takes notice of some new bug based Shadows running around.]
Professor Nutz: (laughs) Ooh, look at these Shadows... I must study them!
Bandana Dee: Are those things supposed to be like some sort of termite based Shadow?
Blue: That has a chainsaw as a stinger?
Bandana Dee: So like some kind of, uh... Sawmite?
Professor Nutz: I wonder what other creatures are here...
Kirby: (sees another type of Terraplant spring up) That one looks kind of dark in the bulb. (sees it spit ink at King Dedede) Whoa!
King Dedede: Aaauuugh, gross! (wipes the ink off of his face)

[The aptly named Inky Terraplant laughs.]
King dedede: Nobody makes a fool out of me! I'm gonna turn that there plant into a salad!

[The Inky Terraplant goes underground as King Dedede jumps in the air and he hits a wall, making a stupid dizzy expression. The Inky Terraplant blows a raspberry and goes back underground.]
Dr. Nutz: Was that an Inky Terraplant?
Professor Nutz: I better get pictures of it so I can add it to the Shadowpedia!

[The Inky Terraplant pops back up, tilting its head as Professor Nutz takes its picture, followed by a Sawmite's picture.]
Blue: Now I know why he’s called Professor Nutz in the first place.
Kirby: He's very helpful though.

[Suddenly a cry for help was heard.]
Cosmo: (offscreen) LEAVE ME ALONE! I DON'T WANNA BE SLICED IN HALF!
Tails: That sounds like Cosmo!
Sonic: Must've gotten into some deep trouble with these things. (rushes off) We've got no time to lose!

[Cut to Cosmo, who's being cornered by a Sawmite.]
Cosmo: Please, go away!

[The Sawmite growls and its chainsaw revs some more. Suddenly Mario jumps in the air and stomps the Sawmite’s head.]
Cosmo: Mario...?!

[A sound effect from Mario 64 plays as the Sawmite just poofs into dark smoke, instead of just deteriorating into dark particles, but still ends up leaving behind a coin.]
Blue: Nice work, Mario.
Mario: Thank you so much.
Tails: That Sawmite didn't hurt you, did it Cosmo?
Cosmo: It was going to if it wasn’t for you guys showing up.
King Dedede: How'd a bunch of Sawmites even get here anyways?
Cosmo: I’ll explain once we reach Green Gate Village.
King Dedede: Alright.

[The group then heads to the village.]
