when i started drawing in class people was wondering why i was drawing a naked woman

I know right? I remember I was drawing a picture at home and my dad always likes to peek at what I'm drawing, it gets annoying sometimes. But anyway, he was like," Why are you drawing a naked person?" It is the base! I'll add clothes when I'm satisfiedΒ with how the body looks! That happens too much. My friend almost got in trouble by a teacher when a kid yelled out, "She's drawing naked people!!" But she explained herself and it was fine. People can be so annoying.Β Β

I had to sculpt a female body out of a candle once, on my computer was a naked woman (in all her glory). and when my parents came in, they just started a casual conversation with me.and after they left I noticed where they where staring at during our talk... Β

Never be ashamed/embarrassed to study the nude human body. When a teacher/parent walks in on you viewing/studying nudes, they may get the wrong idea. The best way to react is to remain calm, and do not be embarrassed, because you are not doing anything wrong. Explain to them that using nude pictures of the female/male body for drawing references is completely NORMAL for an artist in order to perfect their work. Itβs a shame that the nude human body is viewed as a perversion instead of something that is beautiful. Parents donβt always understand.

Oh god- this reminds me of that one time when my uncle, who works in the computing scene, came over to crack open my old crashed laptop and save its files on an external harddrive so I could use them on my new laptop. He quickly browesed through them to check if everything was there, but then stumbled upon my 'references' folder...

I once wanted to draw male nudes because I'm not a man so I thought it'd help me draw them, but I had the hardest time finding flaccid penis photos, most are porn and much bigger then the average dick. No one caught me though, I've always been very careful with things like that.
