-Voldas and Bhaltair - Two more original characters of mine. Voldas and Bhaltair were the baron brothers of Westdrake and brilliant swordsmen. They were gifted ancestral swords by their father, the duke, but their blades were cursed by an angered mage of their father’s court. Once either of the blades struck any other, the wielder would be compelled to fight until their opponent had been slain. If the wielder was mortally wounded, they would continue to live until their opponent was defeated. The mage cursed these blades knowing they would be passed down onto the brothers as gifts, and as custom by the duchy, used in a ceremonial duel to determine who would take the title of duke. Once the brothers locked blades, their fate was sealed, and the two live locked in an immortal struggle, clashing swords in their palace courtyard while time withers their birthrights to dust.
