I know with self publishing as a writer was a big controversy with my mother when she was helping some of the neighborhood ladies get out there.Β She believed in doing it old school ... "Doing it the right way" is what she called it.Β I listened to her and another woman discuss it and it got ugly.Β Personally, I think if it works best for the artist/writer/whatever, then by all means, go for it.Β If you want to try an old school method like going through a publisher or working for a company, then that's cool too.Β Now, which would engender more respect?Β That might be the better question.
